5 x 3 = 15
One week before Christmas eve. I hoped and prayed and worked for a different type of December 2020 than previous ones. And it is exceptionally different. Not because of Covid 19, even though it makes all circumstances this year extraordinary. It is different because of experiences, people, conversations, lessons in directions I wanted to grow and go into and also the surprising ones I didn’t even plan.
Life is mysterious, tricky, new every day. The known is rearranged daily. I learn daily – sometimes new things, mostly a rearrangement of known. It opens pathways to places and spaces that my limited thinking have not thought of before. And then new things are added … spice! Mostly fun, sometimes hair raising, almost always interesting (even if in retrospect).
I wanted two things to change for myself by the time I got to Christmas 2020. Neither has. Yet. One thing can still change. The second will be left for 2021. Hope.
“Hope” is the thing with feathers –
That perches in the soul –
And sings the tune without the words –
And never stops – at all –
Emily Dickinson —
So much happened this year that I never even fathomed. Extraordinary. Sometimes mind blown. In awe. Amidst all the crises, Covid and chaos.
Life continued … Life continues … Like the sea tides coming and going …
Live. 🌻 Love. 💛 Laugh. 🤗
