Today is Saturday. It started with a bang … like my alarm didn’t go off and I was supposed to get up at 6:30am. Luckily I was woken up at 7:15am by my niece. Bathroom emergency. Oi!
I made a pot of broccoli and spinach soup and another pot of potato and leek soup for my other niece coz she doesn’t want to eat the soup her parents make … don’t ask don’t judge it’s amusing. Then the beautician who waxes all kinds of places and then tweezes in places where tweezers shouldn’t ever be (she is amazing and everything is clean … lol). And then lunch with friends. It was lovely, they’re lovely, the place was lovely, the wine was lovely and I am loved. I picked up cake and then came home. Did nothing, baked pudding, shower, bed.
Sharing my bed with 2 childrens going into my birthday … interesting … not what I pictured, but all good. Love lives here. The one wants to sleep here and the other has heard that my bed is amazing and thus wanted to sleep here on this evening. Kids.
My day has been full of love and fun and beauty and people I love and enjoy. There was fun and funny. There was hilarious too. I laughed out loud … really. The views today felt like one huge hug with the mountains and trees surrounding the open space around the dam, lawn and vineyard. One big hug from nature. Majestic. Inspiring. Art.
